Reimbursement

Throughout your ovum (egg) donation program, the intended parents of the child will reimburse certain expenses that you incur. In addition, if you undergo an egg retrieval and have at least 3 mature follicles, you may be reimbursed for the inconvenience, discomfort, and health risks associated with the ovum (egg) retrieval, if you wish. You will decide and/or negotiate the amount of your reimbursement.  With that being said, IARC is SART compliant and follows the ASRM guidelines, which means that there are limits to the amount of reimbursement a donor may request.  You will be eligible to select a reimbursement amount up to $5,000, and under certain circumstances, up to $6,000.  ASRM guidelines state that in no case shall a donor be eligible to receive reimbursement over the amount of $10,000.  

IARC® will provide information about and assist you in choosing a reasonable amount of reimbursement to request if you want such help. Many infertile couples, however, have limited financial resources or are otherwise restricted in their ability to pay reimbursement. Therefore, we encourage you to strongly consider donating without reimbursement if you are so inclined. If you prefer to be reimbursed, the majority of your reimbursement will be mailed from IARC®'s business office to your home within two (2) business days of the date of the egg retrieval. A small amount will be held in reserve until we receive and reconcile your required travel receipts.
